Youth Palace

Prof. Aleksander Kamiński Youth Palace is located in the centre of Katowice. It was built in 1951 on the basis of a design made by two architects from Gliwice- Zygmunt Majerski and Julian Duchowicz. Since that time the building has served children and youth as the educational centre .

In the building there are among others:

- 25 meter long swimming pool,

- theatre and cinema hall (430 seats),

- teaching rooms,

- back-offices,

- gym,

- concert hall,

- fencing and judo room,

- exhibition rooms,

- cloakroom.

A total area of the building is 14,000 m². In 2014 a renovation of the building was finished. At the building there is a big square, which can serve as a car park for a film crew.
