Warsaw Quarry
A rocky complex located in a very picturesque scenery of fields and woods.
It consists of limestone plates with visible marks of ammonite shells and remains of coral skeletons.
The Warsaw Quarry is situated in the vicinity of the Desert of Siedlce and Siedlce village. Local limestone plates were used for the reconstruction of Warsaw, e.g. The Palace of Culture and Science and BelwederPalace.
The area is well-lit by natural light.
The site constitutes a great attraction not only for archeologists, but also film producers. It has many times served as a film location.
