The railway station
Built in 1846 railway station in Chorzów Batory is one of the oldest buildings of this type in Upper Silesia.
Located by one of the city main roads it is a very good location spot.
Monumental, modernistic building in spite of entering the register of historic monuments is still squalid and destroyed. Half of the building has been closed.
In the station premises there are:
- railway station concourse,
- ticket office,
- underground passage,
- two sheltered platforms.
It is mainly an interchange station that links couple of passenger and freight train lines. In front of the building the car park is located.
Ruch Chorzów football club’s stadium and Batory Plant are located in close proximity.
