Roundabout Art Gallery
The silver and blue glass dome that tops the roundabout was built in 2006. It was built on the steel arch-shaped construction. It is covered with the blue and grey glass and silver metal sheet. The three-storeyed building with an observation deck and balcony is lit by the 115 diode lamps. Their colour depends on the temperature and the season.
The measurements of the dome:
- height – 14 meters,
- total area – 12 000 m2,
- cubic capacity - 6000 m3.
Inside the building there are:
- bookstore,
- the Academy of Fine Arts’ Gallery,
- bar.
The dome was designed by the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice.
