Żywiec Lake
A lake located near the town of Żywiec is one of the most beautiful reservoirs in the region. A total area of the lake is 10 km2, total capacity is 94.6 millions m3 and the maximum depth is 26.8 m.
The lake was created in 1966 on the border of Kotlina Żywiecka and Beskid Mały as a result of constructing a dam on the Soła river.
There are beaches with water sports hire companies, bike paths and hiking trails surrounding the reservoir. The area around the lake is hilly.
In the vicinity there is the Żar Mountain.
