Warszawska Street

It is one of the most important and oldest streets in Katowice, characterized by numerous historic tenement houses located along its whole length. We can find there among others:

- building of the former Bank Spółek Zarobkowych [Gainful Company Bank] from 1932,

- Christ Resurrection Evangelical Church,

- Ignatz Grünfeld's villas,

- Kramsta family's villa.

The street runs from the square market in Katowice, next to the building of the Stanisław Wyspiański Silesia Theatre to the junction with the Jerzy Duda-Gracz street. Along the street there is a tram traction running from the east to the very centre of the city. Several public transport stops are situated at Warszawska street.
