The yard

Located in the centre of Katowice, typical for Silesian building development (so called familoki) spruce yard. Surrounded by four-storey buildings - typical, red brick, old Silesian tenements meet the newer, lower blocks of flats from 50’s.

Road running along the buildings is paved with concrete tiles and partly allocated for parking spaces. Green square, probably the most popular meeting spot among the local people, is situated in the middle of the yard. Garages covered with graffiti and the red skip can be found in the housing estate premises. By one of the entrances a small flower and bush garden has been created, with the bird feeder situated next to it.
