The Municipal Public Library in Piekary Śląskie

The Municipal Public Library in Piekary Śląskie was built in 1945 but it underwent a massive overhaul in 1998. It is a two floor building with a total area of 708.8 m2. It resembles a typical municipal housing estate of 50s.

On the first floor there are:

library,

- the Contemporary Art Gallery “Eterna”

In the lower part of the building there are:

the Regional Chamber,

library collection

- exhibition and conference hall

offices

We can mostly find artificial lighting in the building.

A specific atmosphere of the interiors, typical of municipal libraries, full of old books and furniture will certainly interest  a number of filmmakers.
