The lake Pogoria IV
It is named the Reservoir Kuźnica Warężyńska as well. The lake is located in Dąbrowa Górnicza. A total area of the lake is 560 ha; it is 8 km long and up to 3 km wide. Water surface is situated on a level of 264 meters and its capacity is about 52 million m3.
It is the biggest reservoir of the PogoriaLakes. It has its source close to Pogoria III and it ends in Wojkowice Kościelne.
There are numerous islets and a narrow channel on the lake. In the north, in darkest points the lake is up to 23 meters deep. The southern part of the lake is mostly shallow.
The reservoir serves a purpose of a flood control. Swimming and sailing are forbidden.
Along the bank runs a tarmac bicycle path.
Beautiful views, stunning sunset, shoreline coveredwith grass, stones and sand. A perfect place for film shots. The Lake Pogoria IV was used in the film ‘If Fish Could Talk’.
