The Castle in Siewierz

Located in Siewierz  the Bishops’ Castle was probably built in 14th century, during the reign of the princes of Bytom. Rebuilt many times, it got its final, baroque look at the turn of the 17th and 18th centuries.

Some of its original, historical elements are preserved until today:

-  the tower above the main gate,

- barkan,

- the remaining of the stonework i.e. the casing of windows and the columns,

- the fragments of the residential wings’ walls.

The castle can be entered through the long, wooden drawbridge leading up to the main gate.

The building is situated on the small hill and surrounded by the nature. Perfect spot for the film reconstruction of the historical events.
