Racibórz, located in the southern part of the Silesia province, is one of the historic capitals of the region and used to be the seat of the Opole-Racibórz Dukes. Thanks to that most of the historic medieval buildings, sacral as well as secular, remain untouched. Great number of attractive and stylish buildings are located around the town square which was built with accordance to the medieval principles.
Racibórz’s town square is currently in the shape of the rectangle. Charming, cobbled streets are leading up to it. The buildings centered around the square are diversified as far as the style is concerned – the old tenement houses are neighboring the buildings typical for the Polish People’s Republic architecture.
