Power plant

Located in Łaziska Górne in Silesian region power plant was built in 1917 together with the carbide factory. Since 2000 it has been the part of the Południowy Koncern Energetyczny S.A. complex.

 

Łaziska power plant is one of the eighteen base load power plants in Poland. Heated with the brown coal power plant owns heat exchanger station with the total installed capacity of 196 MW and 1155 MW of electric power.

The museum of energy is located on the power plant premises with the total floor area of 1000m2 and 60 thousands exhibit items. The artificial light dominates the interiors.

 

Power plant is surrounded by the trees and meadows.

Katowice, Sosnowiec, Jaworzno are in close proximity.
