The mineshaft of the working Bolesław Śmiały Coal Mine in Łaziska Górne.
The coal mine is one of the oldest in Poland, established as the result of the fusion of the smaller plants.
The coal mine is located in the city centre, in the southern part of the Silesian Upland and covers the area of 74 square kilometers.
The cities of Katowice and Mikołów are located in close proximity.
