Market square in Pszczyna

Very picturesque market square is located in the old part of Pszczyna. The spacial layout retained its original, medieval appearance. The extensive market square, one of the most beautiful in Poland, is surrounded by the renovated tenements from the 18th and 19th centuries.

 

There are:

- the “Warta” building with Gate of the chosen ones,

- town hall,

- catholic church,

- evangelical church,

- old winery.

 

Two big ponds, bison demonstration farm and railway station are located in close proximity.

The areas of Pszczyna have been frequently used in film productions such as: “The Magnate” and “Battle of Vienna”.
