Katowicka Street, Świętochłowice
One of the main streets in Świętochłowice. Built in 1879, initiated the development of the entire city. On its premises, there are:
– City Hall,
– St. Peter's and St. Paul's Church,
– St. John the Baptist's Church,
– market hall,
– clock tower.
Many shops and retail spots are located along the street.
The tenement houses built along the street are in Art Nouveau style and have plethora of stained glass windows as well as the tiled floor. The tram line linking Chorzów with Bytom runs along the street. The east side of the street has been transformed into the promenade.
