Jewish cemetery

A 0.6 ha Jewish cemetery came into being in 1814 in Pszczyna. There are about 400 gravestones surrounded mainly by grass. The oldest remaining gravestone dates back to 1814 and the last one to 1938.

In that location we can find a funeral home built according to Ernest Betz's design. The brick, rectangular in plan building has been erected in the Gothic Revival style. Over the entrance there is an inscription in Hebrew with attached Stars of David. Side walls of the building have two round window openings.

The cemetery is partly surrounded by a wall.
