Jan Kawulok’s cottage
Jan Kawulok’s cottage was built in 1863. Currently it houses the museum. It is located on the Trail of Wooden Architecture. Inside one can admire the exhibits of the historic object and musical instruments.
The building is an example of an authentic, highland house - wooden cottage, covered with shingle roof. The interiors retained its original, traditional design.
Two rooms and the entrance hall include:
- stove ( such houses did not have a chimney so the smoke was coming inside),
- household items (quern, mortars, kitchenware),
- musical instruments (gaidas, shepherd’s horn, ocarina, pipes, etc.).
The time has clearly stopped in the cottage located in the quiet village. Every single object is authentic and charming – it is the perfect film location.
