Park in Giszowiec

A park is located in a district of Katowice, Giszowiec. Its total area is 33,781 m². We can find there ten nature monuments and numerous beech historic stand of trees, which age is assessed at 150-200 years.

In the park, except of many nature monuments, there are:

- band shell,

- chess tables,

- pétanque terrain,

- and “Karczma Śląska”, built in 1910 in the central point of the park, which is a branch of the “Szopienice-Giszowiec” Cultural Centre and “Dworek pod lipami” restaurant.

The park has been entered into the Register of Historic Monuments of Silesian Voivodeship.
