Muchowiec airport

Muchowiec airport was founded in 1928 in Katowice. Steel hangar together with the airport buildings complex and the first artificial runway surface in Poland was built.

Its measurements:

- concrete – 1110 x30 m,

- grass I – 770 x 100m,

- grass II – 655 x 65m.

Located 3,5 km from the city centre, in the quiet surroundings. The park and the glades are situated nearby. It is a popular concert venue as well as the place where various events are organized. Flying Club Silesia operates at the airport.
