‘A midsummer night’s dream’ pond
A pond on the Wiercica River. Located in a picturesque village of Złoty Potok, 32 km far from Częstochowa, on the premises of ‘Parkowe’ Nature Reserve. It owes its name to the poet, Zygmunt Krasiński.
Thanks to abundant flora overgrowing the pond’s banks, ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ looks differently in each season. We can find there numerous beeches, oaks, acacias and birches. Many amphibians and waterfowl inhabit the pond. A beautiful scenery of the park mirrors in a water surface.
Formerly, it was a ritual site of a prehistoric settlement that lived in ‘Osiedle Wały’. Nowadays, it is the spot for meetings and romantic strolls.
It is a perfect place for film shots on location.
